Roof lights?

Never been a fan of lights behind the grill. It might be ok for a pencil beam, but it doesn't allow a flood light to do its job.

The sealant that you want is called 5200. It is tough stuff and it's considered permanent, so watch where you put it. With 5200, you won't need a grommet between the bracket and the roof, it will seal better if you put a small blob over the drilled hole in the roof and then just attach the bracket normally. You can pick up 3m 5200 sealant at any marine store.
