The a/c shuts down after driving at hwy speeds. Blows warm air with no response from the climate controls. Just had it at the shop and he let it run for some time and said everything looks good, but he didn't take it up to hwy speeds. Tells me that it most likely needs either a software or a firmware update. This sounds very probable to me. If any of you have had a similar problem or can advise me on how to remedy this, please do. I'm really out of my depth here. Thank You very very much..

This is very interesting and sounds very close to my symptoms. Do you think that this should be done at the Dealer? Or can this be done by someone who specializes in primarily a/c ?
Just want to thank you my friend's for your knowledge, you are the best and I will you know what I find out.

Florida has a lot of a/c specialists - but a dealer would have all the necessary equipment and access to this and any other TSB’s or special instructions from Ford.

Did you make any modification on anywhere electrically? Like Start/Stop eliminator? If you did, check the connectors.

Hellwig,
I don't know what has been done. We have only had the truck for 4 months and up until now it has been awesome. Really enjoy the vehicle and am a bit pissed and sad that problems are appearing so soon.
Thanks again for your knowledgeable suggestions.

Still waiting on our appt with Ford. Could I ask another question? Do you think that the drip drain may be air pressure at hwy speeds? Possibly preventing the water from draining the evaporator? Is this a possibility? Thank you sir.....guz

Welllll got the truck to do it and here's what I got. The a/c was blowing at ambient temp 81-82. Turned a/c off and heat on,the water poured out of the evaporator drain. Let it run for about 15 min on max heat, turned on the a/c still warm air. Same on the rear air. Turned off the vehicle for about 20 min restarted and.....still warm. When I start it tomorrow it will be fine can drive around 2+hrs fine. Get on the turnpike 20-30min warm ambient air????? Got appt on monday at ford, I guess I will see what they say. Thanks all...guz
