2017 4WD XLT using FORSCAN
APIM Module produces U3000:04-68
DTC reset doesn't clear code
APIM reset produces U3000:04-2B which is replaced by U3000:04-68
APIM on demand self test no errors, doesn't clear code

Online search revealed no specific explanation for this code.

I have been having random engine shut downs while driving. The engine doesn't stop, but it doesn't have any power. Turning the ignition off and restarting the engine seems to solve the problem.
Dash indication is a wrench with "see manual." This shut down has happened three times now all in traffic.

Bad throttle body? No acceleration or feels like misfiring?

Everything seems to be working normally. I do have the occasional "Wrench+See Manual" engine limp mode. I'm not sure if they are related. I look at the throttle body connection today.

Got lucky, had FORSCAN in the car when the wrench came up.
PCM P2112:00-A7 Throttle Actuator Control System
OBDII P112-P Throttle actuator control system Stuck closed

This does point towards the throttle body.

Got the throttle body off, attached are pictures. The inside is dirty, intake side clean, appears to be working.

Clean up the throttle body with carb. cleaner, then WD-40 all the moving pieces. Reassembled the car, check ride okay.

Original APIM error code is still there.

I thought the APIM was for all the infotainement devices(sync, bluetooth, etc) I don't know why it would affect your engine.
