So at 140,000 miles my head gasket it leaking oil, and yes 140k is a decent amount of miles but I wasn't planning on doing any major work until atleast 200k. Now I can't brag anymore about how my expedition has had no major problems, and it makes me sad to think the time has come for major repairs to start happening. A lot of people told me to sell it, Ford wants $2800 to replace the head gasket, plus I need about $1000 more in misc maintenance plus new tires within a few months. So it was a hard decision, but I decided to fix it and keep the expedition instead of selling it... If only Ford would make a new expedition that was worth buying then it would have made my decision a lot easier.
