24" wheels on the '11

You know Freeway, once they were on that's the first thing I said. Should I go 26 instead. LoL. Fitment is clearly not a concern. I guess I just drive it way too much to deal with the ride quality of a bigger wheel and a smaller side wall tire. I have to admit the pure size of these trucks makes the 24 look much smaller to me though.

I am thinking 24" but with the thickest tire possible without out rubbing potholes in chicago are horrible

@ formerstangfan...i was thinking about getting those in 26's...chrome though...how much you get the hook up for?

wow those other rims linked are massive! I just got a set of 2010 f150 harley davidson rims and i was thinking that 22" was big as it was lol.

So what are the widest thickest best protection tire for 24 or 26 without going to much off oem specs

i have 305's with lip protection...you can go 315 but that will run the pricing up...dont see a need to go past 305...thickness aka profile series...i have 35's...so my tire is 305/35/24...i have no problems with them...my ride comfort is good too...you can go 40 series and shouldnt be a problem since 30's will fit on our trucks...but that will make them look like 22's...

26's...same deal...305/30/26 is the standard tire...you can go 315 and thats probably where i would suggest you stop...325 may require adjustment and may rub on the inside

im going to move up to 26's...then eventually buy 28's for shows
