I'm glad you're problem is solved, but did you check to see if it was the voltage regulator or the brushes?

Might be the wrong alternator. I bought a high output aftermarket one and when I put it on the battery light came on. The guy told me they make two different regulators for the alternator in our trucks and I got the wrong one which caused my battery light to come on. Swapped the alternator for the one with the right part and im good now. I would look into that
Hi Guys facing this problem at the moment. I know I need to change the Alt as it is not charging.
Not sure which one to buy. I have an 03 5.4 Eddie Bauer 2 wd fully loaded.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
