Gas Mileage on Trip

I just got back from my first trip in the Expy (2006 5.4) and I averaged 17.9 MPG on the way back in normal conditions over 400 miles. On the way there we had crazy winds and only got 17.0 MPG. Just curious as to what others are getting on the highway that are basically stock (no tune).

That sounds pretty good. What kind of speeds were you doing?

I average maybe 14 on the hwy and about 12 in the city with my 97 5.4 bone stock with a K&N air filter and open stock airbox

19 MPG on the Highway and 15-16 in the city.

21.5 Highway on regular and 16-18 city depending on rating.

BTW onac255 was the pic in your sig. taken in the Sun Valley area?

Usually around 75, but runs of 80 were common.

The 6 speed must help the 5.4 to get better mileage over the 2003-2006 models.

6 passengers, cruise set @ 80 and the A/C on Max

2000 4.6L
