Tekonsha Prodigy P3 vs Integrated Controler

Integrated controller just died on my 2015 Expedition EL. Is it better to stick with the Integrated controller or put in a Prodigy P3?

The integrated one fits in the slot in the dash. The Prodigy has to be mounted on something. I used Velcro and attached it to the left of the steering wheel so my left knee reminds me it is there when I get out of the Expy.
