    Others have said the same about their temps staying that low. Crazy! Regular driving for me with the brand new transmission is still running up to 219. We test drive it with the travel trailer when it was hot outside yesterday and it stayed under 234. Praying maybe this 4th transmission actually...

    I just know of the F150 and expedition. I would highly suggest you keep a close eye on your transmission temps. Mine weren’t high enough to flag a warning on the truck but were plenty high enough to indicate all of the damage that was happening.

    UPDATE: It was not fixed. Ugh. So grateful that this is under factory warranty still. Towing temps were cooler but not a ton and we hit a slight hill (I mean SLIGHT) and sped up a bit to 72 to get around a vehicle and we hit 255 degrees again. Back to the shop it went. So much damage found...

    I think it's a regular part of the transmission. They just released the TSB to replace that drum at the end of February so if yours was rebuilt prior to that then I'd say there's a decent chance you'll have issues again. I'm about to post another update on ours. It just got ANOTHER new...

    I just got mine back after 3weeks in the shop today for the same thing. Only 47k miles on it and they just replaced the transmission for the second time. I didn’t own it the first time it was replaced but high temps is why they replaced it this time. Ford tells them to replace the valve body...

    Valve body sleeve was replaced and transmission rebuilt. I finally got to pick it up this morning. Fingers crossed it’s truly fixed this time!!

    UPDATE! It's nice that our service tech is being honest but it's not what I want to hear. They replaced the valve body sleeve which did not fix the problem. They've now ordered parts to rebuild the transmission (not that the transmission was replaced at 39,000 miles and now again at 47,000)...

    I don’t remember who did the tranny. It’s on the car fax report though and the dealership was going to pull it to check. Thanks for the tip on the fluids! No word from the dealership today but they said it would be a few days before they had a chance to look at it.

    I’ll ask them about this! Thanks! It only has 40k miles on it so hopefully they’ll try this on Ford’s dime. I spent too much on this car to have to fix anything like this on my dime with that low of mileage.

    We bought a 2019 Max with max tow package in December. We were aware that the transmission had been replaced when the original owner traded it in and clearly should have been more concerned about that. We tried pulling our 3k lb trailer last weekend and the transmission was getting too hot...
