Removing and installing CD Changer in 2000 Expedition

These instructions are for installing and removing the CD changer in a 2000 Expedition. It should be the same 97-02 Expeditions, though there's no guarantees.

As always, I'm not responsible if you break anything.
-------------------------------------------------
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Remove the mat at bottom the of the console bin and remove the screws.
-To ease removal of the trim panel, pull the front edge back and lift out.


3. Remove the screws and pull out the CD changer and bracket.



4. Disconnect the electrical connector.


5. Remove the screws.


6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

how do you know if you ever had this installed and cant find it now? cause my stock head unit says cd. and when i press it no DJ. i know that means the cd changer isnt installed. and i cant seem to find if i had it or what. just wondering if there was a way.
