… the power mirrors on my 99 Eddie Bauer expedition are not working and I cannot find any information in the owners manual… where would I look for problems with these mirrors?

I would check the fuse for the power mirrors.
If the fuse is good, test the mirror switch. After all these years, it is likely that the switch has corroded internally.
I had an 05 Nissan Titan that had a corroded mirror switch, and both mirrors would only move up and right. The other directions were dead.

I will try some contact cleaner on the switch at the top of the door and see what happens… Thank you

Have you opened the switch to look for corrosion?… well the contact cleaner didn’t work
If there's corrosion on the board in there, it would probably be best to replace the switch.
