I have an 07 XLT that has the fog light connectors on the harness and the fuse in place for fog lights. My thought was to replace the headlight switch to one that has fog light selection and install some fogs and I'd have fog lights.
Today I replaced the headlight switch and it turns the headlights and parking lights on but when I pull the switch out the fog light indicator does not come on. I also poked my test light in the fog light connector and nothing.
Does the car need to learn a new part?
Perhaps a defective switch?
Can I test continuity on the switch for the fog funtion?
