Tie rod orientation

Curious. Why is orientation from the bottom up through the knuckle on a 2005 and then they changed it to fed from the top down?

It is from the bottom up in the front right?! Isn't it?
As such on mine...

My 2004 is inserted in the bottom of the knuckle with the nut on top. The angle would likely be very awkward if you inserted it from the top.

Yeah, just wondering the difference and change

The 2003-2006 have the same knuckle and the same steering rack so I'm not sure the tie rod is supposed to mount to the top. I may be wrong, but it seems unlikely. If what you were looking at is just a random picture the tie rod may have been installed improperly.
